Drennan Bordon Youth are this year’s Willow Park Teams Of Four Winter League Champions!

The league was fished over 10 hard-fought rounds on the Small and Middle lakes at the popular Hampshire venue. Bordon’s talented team of four, consisting of Alex King, Tom Arnot, Dave Lewis and Mark Wells, worked hard to reclaim the trophy that they lost last year.

Dave Lewis was the team’s captain and lead by example by actually winning the last round individually. He drew Peg 1 on the Small Lake and fished the long pole and maggots down the edge for a  42lb 12oz win; just 4oz more than second placed Simon Duke!

Dave’s catch consisted of mostly seven good carp averaging 6lb apiece. Several of the fish were caught off the deck and a durable 0.2g Drennan AS4 pole float matched to 0.16mm line was used to help extract each fish from the snaggy swim.
