John Gillmore caught his first fish last week during his regular live segment for BBC Radio Lancashire.

As part of his Gilly’s Summer Tour series, the popular radio presenter met up with Stuart and Matthew from Millingtons Tackle in Chorley for Starting Pegs. The fun outdoor event was held at the excellent Whitmore Fisheries. Various methods were demonstrated to visiting anglers while all of this was relayed to BBC Radio Lancashire listeners. There was even an exhilarating maggot race!

It was great to see John catch his very first fish using Drennan terminal tackle, which included a Crystal Dibber, Supplex Fluorocarbon line and a Wide Gape Pellet hook!
