BEST CATCH: Probably a 16lb 11oz barbel from the River Thames and an 11lb 8oz tench from a large gravel pit, both of which I doubt I will ever better.
FAVOURITE METHODS: It would have to be the more traditional methods - trotting with a centrepin, fishing the lift method for tench, or touch legering for barbel and chub.
FAVOURITE VENUES: The River Thames and some of its tributaries.
ANGLING AMBITIONS: To keep enjoying my fishing and if I can catch a few nice fish each season then better.
FAVOURITE ITEM OF TACKLE: The14ft Matchpro float rod, I have caught some superb fish using it.
ABOUT: Ian is a passionate angler with a busy family life and limited fishing time. He is just as happy trotting for dace or roach, as he is chucking big feeders out for bream and tench on a windswept gravel pit.
