ABOUT:
Darren has been match fishing for over 30 years and is still as keen as ever, if not more so! His first match win was on the Grand Union Canal on New Years Day when he was just 18 years old.
Team fishing has always played a major part in Darren’s career. He served his apprenticeship with Banstead, under angling celebrity Keith Arthur’s wing, who he regularly travelled with. He was then asked to fish for the mighty Essex County squad in their heyday and later moved to the equally formidable Daiwa Dorking. As a vital member of these two squads Darren has helped them win every major team trophy out there, culminating in the World Club Championship in 2016.
Darren still enjoys rich and varied fishing and, regardless of the venue or methods, he tries to get out on the bank twice a week.
