We loved Andy Browne’s excellent 4 page Tackle-Up article in Anglers Mail last week titled “Paste Fishing down-the-edge for Carp” – concerning floatfishing in the margins on pools and commercial type fisheries.

Andy is pictured in the main photograph playing a fish using his favourite rod for the job – a Drennan compact Power Float 13ft – which he describes as “the perfect choice for the angler who wants to travel light, fishing commercials and rivers for quality fish as it comes with a rod sleeve that accomodates your reel for carrying a rod tackled-up”.

Andy runs top southern tackle shop Avon Angling in Ringwood (tel 01425 461038) with wife Martine, and is an expert angler with an incredible list of personal bests of various species – so he really knows his stuff!
