After searching the wilds of Wales all the way to urban hotspots, it was a southern chalk stream near his work that produced this 3lb 1oz grayling for Berkshire angler, Adam Jones..

With a small window of opportunity after a meeting, the weather looked ideal for a session. Grabbing his 17ft Acolyte float rod and some red maggots, he hit the river. After landing a 2lb 12oz fish from a tight swim, a PB at the time, he connected with this three-pounder at the tail of a pool.
Initially suspecting it to be a trout, the fish gave Adam an immense battle where he ended up in the river to stop the fish from powering downstream.
Well done Adam!
