Noticing a big pressure drop, he felt he was in with the chance of a big chub!
Chub are well known to feed in bad conditions as Hampshire Adam Bassimeh found on a trip to the Upper Thames, where he managed this 7lb 10oz fish in 40mph winds and heavy rain.
Noticing a big pressure drop, he felt he was in with the chance of a big chub and after finding a sheltered area he hadn’t fished before he dropped in and quickly had himself a three-pounder followed by a ‘six’. Knowing he was likely on a shoal, he continuously baited the swim, hoping to trigger a larger fish to feed. And an hour later, that’s exactly what happened, when he landed the big ‘seven’.
Well done Adam!
