Acorn Angling’s Tony Gee bags Specimen Roach

Tony Gee, expert angler and proprietor of friendly local tackle Acorn Angling in Didcot, Oxfordshire, has sent us this great picture of a specimen Roach caught just last weekend!

Tony employed a Daiwa Spectron Waggler rod and an ABU 507 reel loaded with 4lb Drennan Supplex to fish the waggler at around 3 rod-lengths distance.  With patient, pin-point accurate feeding Tony put a nice bag of fish together, topped by this magnificient specimen which weighed 2lb 8oz!  The big roach accepted 3 Casters on a size 14 Silverfish Maggot hook beneath a 2.5g Insert Crystal Waggler.
