“River Kennet still running fast with a little colour, but this is now dropping out. I have opted to use my 1.75lb test curve barbel rod with 12lb Supplex to a large inline feeder and a size 14 Specialist Barbel hook. The bait is red maggots. With a 5lb 13oz Chub falling a little while ago I’m hopeful that a barbel may put in an appearance before night fall….”
