Coventry’s Phil Smith has shown his class and experience yet again as more huge Tench fall to his rods! Phil took this fantastic brace of 9lb Tench recently as part of a big haul; the fish coming in at 9lb dead and then 9lb 4oz!
Thinking “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, Phil elected to fish a swim he’d been successful in previously with exactly the same maggot feeder tactics, despite a change in wind and weather conditions. This proved to be the right decision, with Drennan In-line Bolt Rig maggot feeders proving the winning tactic.
