Tony Dunne has already had a season to remember on the waters of Ireland, having landed nine fish over 20lb topped by this 32lb 10oz specimen.

The biggest of the fish he’d landed prior to the ‘thirty’ weighed 29lb 10oz and was a PB at the time, with all of his fish coming from a trout water. His successful tactic has been float legered mackerel and herring, juiced-up with added attractants.
He’s been targeting an area where there are lots of ledges and drop-offs down to around 20ft of water – the perfect location for pike to ambush prey fish. The biggest fish came from a spot where it’s 8ft deep, right on top of a ledge. With plenty of time left this season, Tony’s excited to see what the remaining months bring.
Well done Tony!
