Paul Brooks was another angler getting himself in on the big rudd action at the start of the season, as he banked himself this stunning 3lb 3oz specimen.
He told us “I was out early in the morning and found a few good fish, but they weren’t interested in my hookbait, and I had to head home. But that evening I ventured back out, and I’m so glad I did! A freelined bit of slow-sinking bread did the trick.”
