Norfolk’s Josh Fisher has sent us this super picture of a brace of vividly coloured 3lb plus Perch caught recently from a midlands river!
Josh tells us he went out in rough, stormy conditions and endured very high winds, but was duly rewarded:-
“After blanking for chub in the morning and being pestered by dace I switched tactics in search of Perch by spraying maggots constantly on top of Lobworm hookbaits. After an hour and a half I had the first perch, a fish in excess of 3lb, which was followed by several small fish until I had another mid 3 an hour later! The photo of the singular perch is another 3+ example from the previous trip to a different section of the same river, caught on the same tactics. Drennan Supplex as my mainline.”
