Martin Phipps, who fishes for Drennan Banbury Gunsmiths, seen here with an all roach catch of just over 400 fish for 10lb 10oz which was enough to win the latest round of the Oxford Winter league fished on the Kintbury stretch of the Kennet & Avon canal.

Martin fished at 3 metres to hand and fed joker in leam and varied hookbaits between single squatt and single pinkie.

Having caught so many fish, a friend of Martin’s commented that “he must have looked like a windmill”!
