“Caught In the Act” star Stuart Walker with a fabulous big gravel-pit Tench caught with the aid of a Drennan inline Bolt-Rig Maggot feeder!

Stu fished a weedy Northamptonshire pit and put a lot of time into finding the right clear spots to present his bait on. This effort was rewarded with a terrific haul which included this 9lb 14oz beauty (a new personal best), plus further fish of 8lb, 7lb 14oz, 7lb 8oz, 6lb 15oz and 6lb 14oz in a 13 fish haul!

Strategy was to fish the feeder with short Sinkbraid hooklinks and our artificial buoyant red maggots on a D-ring arrangement to a size 12 hook, over a spodded bed of dead maggots, hemp, pellet and groundbait. All the fish were landed on Daiwa Infinity 12ft 1¾lb rods and 10lb mainline.
