Millington’s Tackle in Chorley recently held a brilliant charity fishing day for BBC Children in Need at Whitmore Fisheries in Lancashire.

Ian and Stuart Humphrey, Neil Spedding and Alan Ashworth were fortunate to win an auction for a day’s fishing with England stars Alan Scotthorne and Stuart Conroy. They were soon catching fish on a mixture of pole and feeder tactics and picking up plenty of tips from the duo.

The event was also broadcast live on BBC Radio Lancashire on John ‘Gilly’ Gilmore’s show where Matt Shaw from Millington’s hosts a regular fishing slot with Gilly. BBC Radio Lancashire listeners raised along with the lads’ bid a fantastic £50,000 total for Pudsey’s Children in Need.
