Drennan’s Robin Cave with the deserved spoils of a lucrative match win at Oakfield Fishery in Buckinghamshire at the weekend!

Robin finished with 59lb of carp to win the match outright, and as an added bonus, also drew the ‘Golden Peg’ prize.

On a bitterly cold morning with a ground frost and piercing north-east wind, Robin used a Series 7 Puddle Chucker 10/11ft Carp Feeder Combo rod to fish a bomb and punched bread.  He used an 11mm brass head bread punch to hair rig a big punch of Warburtons Bread on a Drennan Pushstop Carp Match size 16 to 5lb rig, taking fish to around 7lb on hook-baits only (no feed at all) over the course of the match to finish a deserving winner.
