Drennan’s Joe Forrester is best known for his amazing carp catching skills, and has caught some sensational carp from tough waters – most of which he likes to keep below the radar! 
But he decided to go Perch fishing during the Christmas holiday to an Oxfordshire Stillwater, and put together an incredible haul of big fish.

Joe is pictured here with the two best fish scaling 3lb 11oz and 3lb 10oz – backed up with a 3lb 5oz and 3lb 2oz fish – plus a further dozen over 2lb, and some smaller ones!  All these were caught fishing down the edge tight to a marginal bush on a commercial type venue.

Joe fished just an afternoon session and  the action came really thick and fast!  He caught the fish on whole prawns over loose fed red maggot & caster using a 1g Choppa pole float on running line to a 4lb Double Strength hooklink and a size 6 Drennan Specimen hook.
