Buckinghamshire specialist Adam Perna with a beautiful specimen Perch from his local upper Great Ouse, which won a weekly Drennan Award in Angling Times last week.

Adam has taken a number of big river Perch from ‘off the beaten track’ in recent years and this one weighed in at 4lb 6oz and came on an air injected Lobworm tipped with red maggot. The hookbait was presented on a 2ft-long 6lb Fluorocarbon hooklink to a size 6 Super Specialist hook, with a 0.5oz bomb mounted on a large, low resistance run ring.
