James Bob Brookes from Stoke-On-Trent has been out on the banks of the River Dove targeting chub using simple bread tactics.

A rising river accompanied by driving snow made things quite challenging for James, but he still managed to land three chub including a new personal best for the species of 6lb 11oz (pictured below).

His setup consisted of a Drennan MatchPro Medium Feeder rod, coupled with a small fixed spool reel with a simple running rig incorporating a 25g Drennan Gripmesh Feeder filled with liquidised bread and bread flake mounted on the hook.
