Congratulations to the four Drennan anglers who made the all-important top 10 in last week’s White Acres Garbolino Winter Festival.
Eighty anglers competed over five days in this annual event at the popular Cornish holiday destination. In an ultra-tight finish, several people could have walked off with the trophy, and it was only when the last few anglers were weighed in on the final day that Adam Wakelin was finally confirmed as the champ.
Ian Didcote, Kian Wardle and Harry Billing were all a point behind on 30 points, then no fewer than seven anglers found themselves on 29 points! Four of those were Drennan men, including Team England’s Steve Hemingray, Drennan Barnsley’s Matt Godfrey, Wayne Swinscoe and Jon Arthur.
