Reigning 2013-14 Drennan Cup Winner Jamie Cartwright has been afloat on Chew Valley reservoir trying to track down one of it’s monsters.
Jamie didn’t have to wait long for a bite on his second day at Chew, as his first cast resulted in this impressive pike of 25lb 2oz which took a float fished bluey.
“It is my biggest boat-caught pike to date and put up a great fight, but my E-Sox Piker Braided Reel Line was more than up to the task! Unfortunately the wind really got up in the afternoon and we had to move to a more sheltered spot” explained Jamie.
