Prolific young angler Oliver Jenkinson from Bedfordshire hasn’t let the almost constant flooding stop him catching – as this 5lb 11oz Chub shows.
Oli arrived at one of his local rivers to find it right up and coloured, so he donned waders and carefully waded a shallow area to access a slack under some overhanging bushes, where he could precisely drop his rig in.
Using 8lb Supplex fished straight through to an adjustable link leger with the hooklength set at approx 4 inches, he presented a large Lobworm (with cut-off tail!) on a size 7 Super Specialist hook to fool his first Chub of 2014. And what a good one to!
