Oxfordshire’s Steve Russell enjoyed a short afternoon session on his local little River Evenlode (a tributary of the Upper Thames) at the weekend, and has sent us this quality photo of a typical chub.

Steve fished a Coldstone Angling Club stretch of the river near his home in Ascott-Under-Wychwood, and by roaming around quietly and fishing numerous swims, he bagged four chub in double quick time! All the fish fell to bread flake, simply presented close to snags and cover on a link leger rig, size 8 hook and 5lb Drennan Super Specialist line.

Super Specialist line is long renowned for its incredible strength and abrasion resistance, click here to read more about it.
