Well done to London angler Mark Pilley who won a recent weekly Drennan award in Angling Times for this magnificent photo of his recent 3lb Grayling!

Mark travelled down to Hampshire to fish the beautiful River Itchen and presented a single red maggot on a size 16 Super Specialist hook trotted with a Drennan 4BB Double Rubber Balsa float. After moving to a swim with quite fast flow, Mark undershotted the float so that he was able to see the sight-top easily; the subsequent emphatic bite burying the whole float anyway!

“I follow the Drennan Cup every year and never thought I’d get an award! I was quite shocked” explained Mark.
