Christian Barker has kindly sent us some more of his super Suffolk Chub photos – including this fine brace from the River Gipping caught on Banana flavoured Cheese paste!

After a hunch about using Banana as an extra flavour in his Cheese paste, science teacher Christian was rewarded with a fantastic session on the river – bagging 9 good fish to 5lb 2oz!  After he’d come across an interesting flavour called Banana SAC Juice by Laguna, he was inspired to try it in the bait.  Interestingly, Christian could not buy a bite on traditional bread and meat, but with the banana concoction results were almost instantaneous!

Christian used his dependable old Drennan Big Feeder rod fitted with a 1.5oz fast taper feeder tip and a simple terminal rig.
“They really did go Bananas for it” quipped Christian!
