Dave started the match by targeting big Barbel, and used a groundbait feeder rig (see image) to two hair-rigged 8mm Pellets on a size 14 Drennan Super Specialist Barbel hook.

Switching to a waggler rig to add some bits, Dave finished with a match winning 14lb weight to beat Will Raison into 2nd and collect the 1st prize
of £6000, trophy and the title.
