Drennan Team England Ace Stu Conroy with just part of a match-winning 130lb bag of big Carp from his first Winter League match of the year, fished at Heronbrook Fishery in Staffordshire.

Stu won the match by fishing four dead maggots on a size 18 Drennan Wide Gape Pellet spade-end hook tied to 0.14mm (3lb) Supplex, fished over a bed of dead maggot. 
“The Yellow Carp Bungee (10-12) coped well with some proper boys” quipped Stu.

(NOTE:- We believe a ‘proper boy’ is match-speak for a carp over about 6lb!)
