Kevin Sanders caught two personal best crucians at the weekend from Johnson’s Lake in Surrey.

“I had eight crucians in total with one bang on 3lb and then the biggest at 3lb 4oz,” he explains. “The other six were all 2lbers, including four fish weighing 2lb 12oz. I also had several tench to 5lb and a couple of lovely rudd weighing 1lb 8oz.

“All fish fell to the groundbait Method Feeder, 3.3lb Supplex Flourocarbon hook link and a size 12 Barbless Wide Gape Super Specialist hook. The hook bait was a single Buoyant Caster.”
