Drennan’s Dan Varney has just had a great first visit to the River Trent.
The Kamasan Starlets team man was fishing a 100-peg match at East Stoke in Nottinghamshire and managed 4th overall with a fantastic 20lb 10oz of chub on maggot feeder tactics.

Dan used a size 16 Drennan Wide Gape hook matched to a 0.18mm Supplex hooklength and 6lb Feeder & Method Mono reel line.
