The second double-figure specimen caught during the Tenchfishers fish-in event at Medway Valley Fisheries fell to Hugh Boyle in the form of this 10lb 12oz chunk.
The 62-year-old from Shirley in Surrey had blanked during the previous two days fishing at the Kent venue until the very last hour when something huge picked up his worm hookbait.
Hugh told Angling Times: “I thought it wasn’t going to happen, but what a fish to catch right at the death!”
Hugh used a maggot feeder and worm combination to help produce the bite.
